How to tell them

Phone the Bereavement Support team, or email or post a letter. Credit balances over €500 need an indemnity form.

Step by step

  1. Decide: close, or transfer. Take a meter reading (GPRN or MPRN is on the bill).
  2. Phone the Bereavement Support team on 01 611 0146 (Mon to Fri 9 to 5), or email info@bordgais.ie, or post a letter.
  3. A credit balance over €500 needs their indemnity form; they send it.
