Contact the bereavement support advisors through the help centre and use a letter to confirm.

Step by step

  1. Decide: close the account, or move it to the person still living there.
  2. Ask them to confirm no exit fee applies and where the final bill or any credit refund will go.
  3. If a new account is opened for the person staying, check the direct debit is set up on it.
